Cycling

During a visit to my parents in Pennsylvania, I discovered my passion for cycling and quickly purchased a bike upon returning to California. I soon found myself conquering century rides, completing a double century, and even participating in the Death Ride, not once, but twice.

However, after getting bored with endurance riding, I transitioned to racing. I worked hard to move up the Northern California and Nevada Cycling Association ranks, and my efforts paid off when I won the California State Criterium Championship title. I spend most of my time exploring new trails and embarking on long rides with friends. I’m also a certified mountain bike coach.

Van Life

My interest in camper vans piqued when we had to evacuate our home due to a nearby wildfire. I realized that owning a multi-use vehicle would not only be beneficial for transporting ourselves and our ranch animals to safety during wildfire season in California, but also provide us with a fun mode of transportation. With the pandemic limiting travel options, I decided to purchase a camper van and use it for exploration. It was wonderful to be able to travel safely, self-contained, and discover the stunning landscapes that our country has to offer. Although I mainly use it as a mobile bike vacation vehicle, it is always ready to go in case we need it!

Ranching

In 2017, my wife and I purchased Dragonfly Ranch, enamored by the organic farming community and beauty of the Capay Valley. Dragonfly Ranch is a 5-acre ranch property nestled between almond and fruit orchards. We have two horses, seven goats, chickens, and the pups. We love the outdoors but also like a little luxury. To that end, we have wanted to share our property with others, so we created a camping experience that aims to be approachable, friendly, and hassle-free.

Food Access

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, numerous small farms were affected by the loss of restaurant accounts, and consumers were hesitant to go to the grocery store. Recognizing a chance to meet these needs, my wife and I established The Farm Stop in our Valley. We aimed to promote access to local products and high-quality produce by introducing a farmer’s market. We collaborated with town groups, nonprofits, local businesses, the Sheriff's Department, and community members to bring this seasonal market to Main Street in Esparto. As the needs of the community have changed, we’ve pivoted the program to offer free holiday meals to those in need during the Easter and Thanksgiving holidays.

Doodling

As a kid, I was always doodling in my school notebooks. I loved sketching various cartoon characters. I lost my love for drawing over the years, but I have recently rediscovered my passion. I try to draw something at least once a day.

Currently, I am into drawing robots and monsters.
